Full-Time; Tenure Track Faculty

Teaching in the areas of, but not limited to, medical surgical, adult nursing, pediatrics, neuro, and/or psych; day, evening, or weekend didactic and clinical instruction of nursing students as assigned by the Director of Nursing; course development; updating and submission of course syllabi in required format; assessment of student outcomes; development of resources for instruction, including the use of simulation and online learning; timely submission of student grades and progress; full participation in departmental duties, institutional committees, assignments, and activities as assigned; representing the College creditably with respect to any of its activities; observe, support, and enforce the regulations, policies, and programs of the College; other duties as assigned.


Requires a master’s degree in nursing; must have a current, valid Illinois Registered Nurse license; one year of teaching experience in a hospital or educational setting; five years’ experience in one or more of the following areas: medical surgical, pediatrics, neuro, and/or psych. Preferred qualifications include: community college teaching experience in a practical nursing or associate degree nursing program, simulation instruction experience, and BLS instructor status.


Starting salary is determined by educational level and teaching experience as per contract salary schedule, and opportunities exist for overload and summer teaching.
