Part-time; Non-Teaching Professional; Grant; Grade 3

Provide academic advisement to Perkins-eligible students; provide limited counseling services to students; contact and support CTE students who are identified through the Early Warning System Retention Module; utilize curriculum guides and evaluate high school and/or college transcripts to advise students; participate in CTE academic department meetings to stay current with trends and curriculum in the field; assist CTE faculty in recruiting students, including traveling to district high schools and other events; utilize current college policies and procedures to assist students with services, including assessment, scholarships, financial aid, Bursars, student success, and career services; participate in high school orientation programs and other events at the college to promote CTE programs; provides transfer information to CTE students who plan to continue their education; complete financial aid and graduation checks for CTE students; perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Requires a bachelor’s degree in education, counseling, career and technical education, business, public administration, or related field; demonstrated communication and collaboration skills. Preferred qualifications include: master’s degree in education, counseling, career and technical education, business, public administration, or related field; previous work experience in a career and technical education field or in higher education.
