Hours 6:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.; Monday - Friday


Full-time; Operational; Grade 1

Maintain written and accurate records of food/non-food purchases and CACFP reimbursement reports and submit to the Center Director by the second day of each month; complete weekly grocery orders using prepared grocery list; receive and store food and supplies, and sanitation related to these activities; maintain, clean, and sanitize equipment and work area; prepare and serve breakfasts, lunches, and snacks efficiently, while maintaining nutrients, flavor, color, and texture of food; maintain accurate records of meal attendance; maintain accurate records of monthly food and non-food inventory; notify Center Director of any problems/needs concerning equipment and food supplies; interact in a positive manner with children, parents, and staff; maintain confidentiality of all records in accordance with agency policy; attend in-service training as required; attend staff and agency meetings as required; record and submit in-kind; know and adhere to agency and university policies and standards; assist with developing cycle menus in conjunction with assistant cook, parents, center director, and health and nutrition coordinator; daily dishwashing, lifting, unpacking, and storage of groceries for food preparation; other duties as assigned.

Duties must be performed on John A. Logan campus or designated locations.


Require's a high school diploma or GED; prior experience in quantity food preparation; ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification.
