Tech Resources for Students

All students must familiarize themselves with the following technological resources used at the College:


Volmail is your College email account. It’s the way your instructors will often communicate with you.
Click the Volmail link below to log into Volmail, find your login information, access Password Manager, learn how to setup email on your phone or tablet (scroll to bottom of page), forward your Volmail to another account (click on “Volmail Tips”), and more. Make sure that you Register with Password Manager, so that you’re able to reset your password to something that’s easier to remember.



MyJALC is what students use to register/add/drop classes, as well as view their schedules, grades, transcripts, bursar account balance and financial aid information. Log into MyJALC with your Volmail Username & Password by clicking the link below and then clicking the Login button near the top.



Many courses require you to use Desire2Learn (D2L), the college’s distance learning platform. Click the link below to log into D2L.



As a John A Logan student, you automatically get a full Terabyte (1,024 GB) of cloud storage on OneDrive. With OneDrive you can ditch your thumb drive and store your coursework in the cloud. Your OneDrive account also gives you access to Office365, the web based version of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote). To access your OneDrive click the link below.

John A Logan students can install the full-featured Microsoft Office Suite on up to 5 computers (Windows or Mac) for FREE! Click the link below to install Office on your computer. You can also install MS Office Apps (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) on your phone or tablet for free from the Apple App Store or Google Play.

LoganLive! Student Wireless” is a high speed, high security wireless network for JALC students. You can connect with a phone, tablet or laptop using your Username/Student ID and Password. Computer Labs

John A Logan has two open access computer labs for students use. The C238 Lab is open Monday through Friday 8am-4:30 pm (summer hours: M-Th 8am-4:30pm). The C231A Multimedia Lab is available Monday through Thursday 8am-4:30 pm. This lab may be closed from time to time for scheduled testing and training. Both labs offer free printing via PrintNet. In addition to these two labs students may use computers located in the College’s library (printing 10 cents/pg.). For more information about labs and lab rules click the link below.
