Logan College employee Beth Hanner is among the most dedicated.

Hanner recently received a plaque from the organization for her successful efforts as a fundraiser. Altogether, she collected $3,014.78 or about 25 percent of the entire school’s contribution of $12,100.

“I feel that AHA is a great organization,” Hanner said. “ I have lost close family members due to heart disease and I want to support them as much as I can.”

Hanner’s biggest splash came through a quarter auction held in August, which raked in just over $2,000.

“I’m very proud of my Heart and Sole Heart Walk team,” she said. “We plan to have another quarter auction fundraiser for next year’s walk on April 25th. We hope it’s even a bigger event than the one we had in August.”
