CARTERVILLE – John A. Logan College women’s golf coach Bill Glenn has delved back into the Massac County High School pool of golf talent to sign his latest recruit.
Senior Brittany Reynolds signed with the Vols last week. She is a three-time state tournament qualifier with a personal best round of 74 for 18 holes.
“I’m excited about coming to Logan,” Reynolds said. “I’m ready for a change of scenery and the opportunity to compete with and against college players.”
Reynolds said she has “persevered” through some injuries and is looking forward to the challenges of performing at the next level.
“Hitting the ball off the tee is probably my strong suit at this point,” she said. “What I need to work the most on is my short game. And I plan to do a lot of that this spring and summer leading into the fall season at Logan.”
Glenn said Reynolds has few holes in her game and should immediately compete for a starting spot.
“I like her potential,” he said. “She can be long off the tee and has the work ethic, I think, to become a very reliable golfer in our program. By and large, we have had great success recruiting Massac County players and I expect nothing different with the addition of Brittany.”
