Vocational Students Plant Tree

CARTERVILLE – John A. Logan College students enrolled in the Construction Careers Training Program planted a tree this week in front of the vocational building to show their appreciation for the Illinois Department of Transportation grant program.
Instructor Mark Etters said the program is administered statewide through area community colleges and is designed to train females, minorities, and disadvantaged individuals for employment in highway construction.
Students enrolled in the spring semester training include: Brandon Coffey, Darral Davis, Ira Hathaway, Frank Henson, Trennis Hudson, Lisa Gardner, Jebray Moore, Cheryl Riddle, Darnell Robinson, Christian Torres, Dustin Winn, and Barbara Woodside.
