CARTERVILLE – Freshman Hunter York earned medalist honors and led the John A. Logan College men’s golf team to a first-place finish this past weekend at the six-school Vincennes University Invitational at Country Oaks Golf Course in Montgomery, In.

York turned in scores of 72 and 68 for a combined score of 140. Freshman teammate Nick Woolard and sophomore Austin Grote each finished at 151. Sophomore Neal Northcott was one stroke back at 152. Sophomore Kody Rendleman  

Sophomore Austin Grote wrapped up play at 155.

As a team, the Vols won a first-place tie-breaker with Vincennes at 594 (299, 295). Rend Lake was third, followed by Cincinnati State, Kaskaskia, and Lincoln Trail.
