CENTRALIA - The John A. Logan College women's golf team bested host Kaskaskia Friday in a dual meet, 355 to 371.

Vols' sophomore Adrian Brown of Carterville was medalist with an 81.

Freshman Brittany Reynolds of Metropolis had the team's second-best score with an 87 and placed fourth overall.

Freshman Mariah Bushue of Effingham carded a 92 and placed sixth.

Sophomore Reagan Keepes of Mount Carmel checked in with a 95 and placed eighth.

Sophomore Payton Choate of Campbell Hill shot an even 100 and tied for 11th.

Freshman Madison Bushue of Effingham was third overall with an 86, but her score did not count toward the team score as she did not qualify for the tournament in practice.

"I thought we played OK considering there was no practice round," said Logan head coach Bill Glenn. "There is still much room for improvement with this group. I think we are capable of shooting consistently in the low 330s and occasionally in the 320s."
