CARTERVILLE – Put your thinking cap on and join in the fun at the 2nd annual Trivia Night at the Robert L. Mees Centre in the Harrison/Bruce Historical Village on the campus of John A. Logan College. The event, sponsored by the JALC Choir Club, will be held on Saturday, Nov. 7 at 6 p.m.

“Trivia Night is a fundraiser for the choir club,” said Jodie Salazar of Carterville, a sophomore at Logan who is helping organize the event. “We’re raising money for our choir trip next summer. We’re going on a New England cruise, and we’ll get the opportunity to perform on the ship.”

Salazar said the cost to play is $10 per person and teams can have a maximum of eight players. Teams who register in advance can pay $75 per table, and the event can accommodate 12 teams. The deadline to register is Monday, Nov. 2.

“We did this for the first time last year and had a very successful event,” Salazar said. “Several clubs from the college participated and it was nice to have that kind of support from our fellow students. We’re hoping to have a lot of clubs play in the event again, but we’re open to the public as well. Anyone who wants to put a team in is welcome.”
