CARTERVILLE – Children enrolled in the John A. Logan College Early Childhood Education program were treated to story telling and finger painting among other activities last week as part of an interaction session with Children’s Literature students.
This service-learning project involved each Logan student interacting with preschoolers.
“To me, this project represents the best of John A. Logan College,” said English and Literature instructor, Nikki Borrenpohl. “The Children’s Literature students (many of whom are not education majors) selected texts and prepared activities for Black History Month. Our students are embracing the wonderful idea that everyone can be a positive influence in children’s lives through literacy.”
