CARTERVILLE – The Office of Student Activities and Cultural Events at John A. Logan College is accepting applications from artists and vendors who would like to sell their goods at the 41st   Annual AutumnFest Arts & Crafts Show at JALC on Nov. 12-13. The application deadline is Wednesday, July 27.

AutumnFest is a juried show that includes a large selection of original arts and crafts, home décor items, jewelry, and specialty foods made by original artists. One of the largest craft fairs in the region, the event draws around 8,000 shoppers each year.

Adrienne Barkley Giffin, director of student activities and cultural events at Logan, is organizing the show.

“Every year about two-thirds of our exhibitors are people who have been in the show before and the other third are new vendors,” Giffin said. “It’s a good mix. I’ve already received nearly 80 applications and the show can accommodate around 120 exhibitors.”

Giffin said those interested in taking part in the craft show should fill out the application online.

“All the details about the show and the application process are explained on our Web site,” she said. “If they haven’t applied for the show before or we don’t have photos of their work on file, they will have to mail, email, or bring in photos of their work and booth setup to us. Applicants who apply by July 27 will be notified by email on September 2 whether or not they are accepted.”

For more information about the AutumnFest application, contact Giffin at 618-985-2828 or 618-457-7676, Ext. 8287. The Web site with the online application is available at: www.jalc.edu/activities/autumnfest-arts-crafts-show. Photos should be mailed to Office of Student Activities and Cultural Events, John A. Logan College, 700 Logan College Rd., Carterville, IL 62918.
