Volunteers Fall at Nationally Ranked Vincennes

VINCENNES, Ind. – Vincennes took the lead at 3-2 and never looked back in defeating John A. Logan 93-79.
The Trailblazers, ranked 7th nationally, won for the 13th straight game to stand 23-1 on the season. Their only loss was to Logan on Dec. 10, 80-73.
Chris Darrington was outstanding for Vincennes, scoring 34 points, including 13-of-16 from the free-throw line. Nate Hanson had 20 points while Isaiah Tisdale added 16.
Logan, 18-6, was led by Jaylen Perry with 28 points, Allen Billinger scored 14, and Chad Culbreath had 10 despite fouling out with eight minutes to go. Jerome Davis had 6 points and a game-high 10 rebounds. The Volunteers who had a seven game win streak ended, rallied to within eight points twice in the final 10 minutes but could never get closer.
