Volunteers Roll Past Lincoln Trail, 92-70

CARTERVILLE – Jalen Perry scored 28 points to lead the John A. Logan Volunteers to a 92-70 win over Lincoln Trail. Perry was 11-of-15 from the field, 5-of-8 from three and 1-of-2 from the free-throw line.
After leading 41-33 at the half, Perry extended the lead when he hit four straight triples to make it 66-51 with just over 12 minutes remaining.
Logan, 22-6 overall and 13-3 in the Great Rivers Athletic Conference, won for the 12th time in the last 13 games. The Vols are in first place in the conference and Region 24 with two more games to play.
The Volunteers had three other players in double figures as every player on the squad scored. Will Robinson and Chad Culbreath each scored 13 points while Jerome Davis added 11.
Lincoln Trail was led by Blake Ruckman with 14 points.
