CARTERVILLE — Cameron Touchette, a 6’2” right fielder for the John A. Logan College Volunteers, has been named third-team All-American.

The great news is that the freshman is expected back on Logan’s field next year.

Touchette wowed the nation batting an incredible .433 this season. He is also fast on the bases going 27 for 30 in stolen bases.

“He has a chance of being a very, very high-level player,” said Logan’s head baseball coach Kyle Surprenant. “I’m proud of what he’s accomplished this year and look forward to seeing much more from him next season.”

Touchette came to Logan from Columbia High School near St. Louis.
