It will be a battle of undefeated teams when John A. Logan College hosts Vincennes in a NJCAA District 16 clash on Wednesday, 7 p.m. It will be Illinois Bears Night with all Bears Youth League teams admitted free of charge.

Vincennes, ranked sixth nationally, is off to a 5-0 start under Head Coach Todd Franklin, who is 573-136 in his 22nd year as a collegiate coach. One of his former players and assistant coaches is current John A. Logan College head coach Kyle Smithpeters, who is 143-51 in his seventh season as coach of the Vols.

Logan, ranked 12th nationally, is led by freshman standout Jay Scrub. The 6-6 freshman averages 18.3 points and 8.5 rebounds per game. Sophomore preseason All-American David Sloan ranks fourth nationally in assists with 8.5 per game. He led the nation in assists last season. The Vols are 4-0 while averaging 97.3 points per game. The Lady Vols (3-1) will host the (3-2) Vincennes women's team at 5 p.m.
