Associate Director of Payroll Services

Salary: $41,368 - $51,710 (salary commensurate with education and experience per salary schedule)

Qualifications: Require's a bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field; one year of acceptable accounting experience. One year of acceptable payroll and supervisory experience is preferred.


Full-Time; Non-Teaching Professional; Grade 5

Daily supervision of two Payroll Accounting Clerks; communicate with employees and outside agencies concerning payroll and deduction issues; oversee and coordinate payroll processing and payroll controls; prepare and process federal and state tax deposits; transfer funds into the College’s payroll account; process the submission of the College’s direct deposit file; oversee the College’s automated Time and Attendance system; coordinate with the instructional division on faculty payroll submissions; prepare quarterly and annual reporting related to payroll activities, including 941’s, unemployment, and W-2’s; monthly balancing of payroll and deduction related accounts; perform year-end closeout procedures and prepare audit work papers for payroll area; perform reporting and remittances to the College’s insurance carriers, pension system, and 403(b) plan; assist in development of College budget in relation to salaries and benefits; monitor compliance with labor union contracts and College policies; assist in preparation of ICCB reports related to salary and benefits; respond to various employment related surveys; perform bank reconciliations; perform salary and benefit projections/analysis; calculate and process insurance reimbursement to College retirees; provide financial analysis in various areas as needed; serve on College committees as assigned; other duties as assigned.
