CARBONDALE – The 2014 Applied Sciences and Arts (ASA) Research Symposium will be held at the SIU Student Center (Missouri and Kaskaskia Rooms) on Saturday, Nov. 22.  Registration and refreshments will be at 9 a.m. and the symposium will conclude around 5 p.m.

The day-long event will begin with a welcome from Dean Wang, Chancellor Sarvela, and Provost Ford. A panel discussion with the ASA chairmen and directors will be immediately following and programs represented on the panel are: Allied Health, Architecture, Automotive Technology, Aviation Management and Flight, Aviation Technologies, and Information Systems and Applied Technologies.

Keynote speaker will be Dr. Rodrigo Carraminana, Director of CURCA (Center for Undergraduate Research and Creative Activities). The research and poster presentations will be represented from the programs listed above and will continue throughout the day.

This will be a free symposium and is open to all faculty and students. Lunch will be provided for all registered participants.
