SPRINGFIELD – John A. Logan College business professor Jason Tanner has been recognized by his peers for work done with the Illinois Association for Career and Technical Education while serving as Illinois Business Education Association president this past year.

He received the Affiliate Growth Award for most new IACTE members and the Affiliate Professionalism Gold Award for IACTE membership; conference attendance; board member participation; committee participation; and public information effort.

Additionally, affiliates received the professionalism award based upon meeting deadlines; being involved in the association for Career and Technical Education activities; producing publications; holding affiliate board meetings; and promoting career and technical education.

“It was an honor to receive both awards on behalf of the Illinois Business Education Association,” Tanner said. “Students throughout the state benefit greatly from career and technical education, including business education. It has been rewarding to promote business education on behalf of the IBEA, John A. Logan College, and most importantly, students.”
