MESSAGE FROM PRESIDENT HOUSE
At approximately 11:40 a.m. this morning, an electrical fire resulted in a power failure affecting much of the campus. More importantly that anything related to our facilities, two employees were trapped in an elevator near the location of the electrical fire. Those employees are receiving medical treatment for injuries sustained and we ask that we all remember them in our prayers.
Beginning tomorrow, office staff and faculty will be working remotely to support instruction and provide services. At this time, the college has not been given clearance to enter the facilities. Personnel wishing to pick up personal items in offices or personal autos should wait until after 10 a.m. tomorrow and should first contact Campus Police at 985-2828, ext. 8218 before coming. There are some locations that personnel will not be allowed entry.
At 10:00 a.m. tomorrow (Thursday), another Announce email will be sent providing an update to college personnel with further instructions.
