May 13 Graduation Details

The fifty-second annual commencement of John A. Logan College will be held Thursday, May 13,  2021, at 6:30 p.m. at the DuQuoin State Fair Grounds Grandstand in DuQuoin, Illinois.

We will not require any practice prior to the commencement ceremony; therefore, we are asking you to report to the DuQuoin State Fairgrounds Grandstand promptly at 6 p.m. so that we can review the ceremony with you.  Students who arrive late and miss the instructions may not be allowed to participate in the processional.  Your cooperation with this process is greatly appreciated and will allow for an orderly and rewarding graduation ceremony.

Each student is permitted to have six guests at the graduation ceremony. Tickets will be provided with regalia items. Each guest will be required to print their name and phone number on the back of the ticket per State Fairground guidelines in compliance with IDPH. All guest will present their ticket for entry into the Grandstand. Guests without tickets will not be permitted. Grandstand will open at 5 PM and no one will be permitted in the Grandstand until 5 PM.

MASKS will be REQUIRED.

All students and attendees make sure you complete a COVID-19 self-assessment.

• Graduates and guests should assess themselves for any of the following new or worsening symptoms. In the event of symptoms, stay home and contact a healthcare provider.
  • Fever (100.4 degrees or above) or chills
  • Cough
  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
  • Fatigue
  • Muscle or body aches
  • Headache
  • New loss of taste or smell
  • Sore throat
  • Congestion or runny nose
  • Nausea or vomiting
  • Diarrhea
