John A. Logan College is hosting area high school students on Friday, October 20, for the second annual STEM Day. This event aims to showcase the College’s science, technology, engineering, and mathematics programs and introduce these students to the College’s outstanding faculty in those fields.
The event will feature an engineering challenge, where students are asked to build bridges out of spaghetti and hot glue. The morning session will feature these engineering marvels and test their strength to withstand applied masses. The afternoon features several breakout sessions in our various STEM areas. The best opportunity for media coverage will be during the Engineering Challenge from 9:15 AM to 10:15 AM.
