John A. Logan College to Host Presentation on Human Trafficking in Southern Illinois

The Humanities Department at John A. Logan College will host Southern Illinois University Law Professor and Director of Exceptional Learning, Shelly Taylor Page, on Wednesday, February 7, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the John A. Logan College Conference Center Crisp Room to present research and discuss human trafficking in southern Illinois.

Professor Page will discuss what human trafficking is, where it happens, who are potential targets, and how to identify and prevent human trafficking in southern Illinois. These and other important factors concerning human trafficking will be discussed. Come, listen, learn, and be prepared to engage in a topic that thrives in silence and ignorance. You will be more knowledgeable and aware of how to actively participate in helping prevent human trafficking in Southern Illinois.
