Pass Rate for Recent JALC Nursing Graduates Outpaces State and National Averages

The latest group of nursing graduates from John A. Logan College (JALC) has achieved an exceptional milestone: Their recent licensing exam pass rates exceeded both state and national averages.

According to data from the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN), JALC LPN nursing graduates posted a pass rate on the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX) of 98%, significantly higher than the state average of 91% and the national average of 88%. The ADN program posted a pass rate of 96%, far ahead of the state average of 87 % and the national average of 91%. This impressive achievement highlights the rigorous training and dedication of the students and the college’s faculty.

“We are incredibly proud of our nursing graduates and our outstanding faculty for their incredible performance on the licensure exam,” said Dr. Kirk Overstreet, JALC President. “This success is a testament to the quality of education and the commitment to excellence that we provide at John A. Logan College.”

The nursing program at JALC has a long history of producing highly skilled professionals who go on to serve communities in various healthcare settings. Dean of Health Sciences and Director of Nursing Dr. Kristen Yosanovich emphasized the importance of the college’s strong clinical partnerships. “Our students benefit from diverse clinical experiences that equip them with real-world skills,” Yosanovich said. “We believe this experience plays a crucial role in their ability to succeed on the exam and in their careers.”
