Get ahead and save money—take affordable summer classes at a community college instead of paying high university tuition. Same quality, same content, lower cost. Check out our Tuition and Fees for more information.
Take the Accuplacer placement test if you wish to enroll in college level English and Math courses or send transcript(s) from another college or University to verify prerequisite requirements.
As a current high school student, you are required to speak to a dual credit/early college advisor to register for summer classes. Please visit the dual credit/early college webpage or email dualcredit@jalc.edu for more information.
Benefits of Summer Enrollment:
Jumpstart a degree: New students can take summer classes to get a head start on their degree.
Catch Up on Credits: If a student has fallen behind due to a failed or dropped course, summer classes provide a chance to stay on track without extending their graduation timeline.
Graduate sooner: Summer courses allow students to complete credits ahead of schedule, helping them graduate early or lighten their course load in future semesters.
Reduce Costs: Taking summer classes at a community college and transferring credits can be a cheaper alternative to a university course.
