The Allied Health & Public Service at John A. Logan College strives to meet the varied health care and public service education needs of our district.

The Allied Health & Public Service Department is broken into 3 areas; Allied Health, Public Service, and Southern Illinois Collegiate Common Market (SICCM). Please click on their respective links for more information about the areas and the programs within those areas.

• Allied Health: Dental Assisting, Emergency Medical Services, Diagnostic Medical Sonography, and Medical Assistant
• Public Service: ASL Deaf Studies, Cosmetology, Criminal Justice, Early Childhood Education, Emergency Medical Services, and Interpreter Preparation Program (IPP)
• Southern Illinois Collegiate Common Market (SICCM): Medical Laboratory Technology, Occupational Therapy Assistant, and Surgical Technology
  *2023-2024 Medical Laboratory Technology, Occupational Therapy Assistant, and Surgical Technology located at SICCM Campus
  2024-2025 Medical Laboratory Technology and Surgical Technology located at JALC Campus
  2024-2025 Occupational Therapy Assistant will transition to Shawnee Community College
