The John A. Logan College Board of Trustees unanimously named Charlie Jones the College’s new Head Women’s Basketball Coach. Jones becomes only the fourth head coach in program history, replacing Amanda Shelby, who accepted another position at the College.

John A. Logan College will host a Juneteenth Celebration on Thursday, June 15, from 6 PM to 9 PM in the College’s Waterfall Courtyard. The celebration will feature a performance by the J-Sound Band and local food by Smokin K’s BBQ and Cajun Cuisine.

Over Two Hundred students participated in graduation ceremonies at John A. Logan College on Thursday, May 11. The College held commencement on the John A. Logan College campus for the first time since the pandemic.
A best-selling author, sought-after speaker, and marketing executive, Tim Miles will return to John A. Logan College as the 2023 Distinguished Alumnus, where he will address graduates and other guests at the College’s May 11 Commencement.

After a nationwide search, John A. Logan College has named Dr. Stephanie Chaney Hartford Provost. John A. Logan College opened the search in November for a chief academic and student affairs officer to replace Dr. Melanie Pecord, who will retire in June.
