John A. Logan College has been named one of the top 200 community colleges in the nation eligible to apply for the 2027 Aspen Prize for Community College Excellence, the most prestigious recognition of high achievement and performance among America’s community colleges.
A standing-room-only crowd gathered Tuesday at John A. Logan College to honor longtime Early Childhood Education Professor Dr. Marilyn Toliver during the dedication of the newly named Dr. Marilyn Toliver Early Childhood Education Center.

The John A. Logan College Nursing Club will host its annual “Not-So-Scary Trick or Treat” event on Saturday, Oct. 18, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the College’s main campus in Carterville. The family-friendly event will take place at the West Main Entrance, the Conference Center, Brewer Gymnasium, and Bechtel Community Health Education Complex.
