Transfer Planning – John A. Logan College (jalc.edu)

  1. Graduates should demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems, including the principles of heat transfer, thermodynamics, and psychrometrics.
  2. Graduates should be able to design and install HVAC systems in compliance with industry standards and codes, considering factors such as load calculations, equipment selection, and ductwork design.
  3. Graduates should possess the skills to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair HVAC equipment, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, refrigeration units, and related components.
  4. Graduates should be knowledgeable about the safe handling and disposal of refrigerants, adhering to environmental regulations and industry best practices.
  5. Graduates should have the skills to fabricate and install ductwork, ensuring proper airflow distribution and ventilation within buildings.
