Certificate of Achievement

Students who wish to earn this short-term certificate will be working with a programmable logic controller (PLC) or a programmable controller which is an industrial computer that has been ruggedized and adapted for the control of manufacturing processes.

What You Can Do

With this certificate, students can also seek the AAS Industrial Maintenance degree to add a credential to enter the workforce. Students will be able to install, maintain, and troubleshoot industrial-grade PLC systems. These technicians work closely with maintenance supervisors, electrical engineers, and sometimes other technicians where they can gather technical advice.
