Mary Logan High School Mathematics Instructor (part-time)

Description:

Mary Logan High School (MLHS) is an optional education high school program providing full-time and supplementary academic services to students ages 16-20 within the John A. Logan College district.

MLHS is looking to fill the position of high school math instructor.

Candidate will be responsible for the daily planning, organization, and implementation of math specific curriculum for high school grade levels 9 – 12.

Candidates will be responsible for the daily preparation and instruction of course specific curriculum and the monitoring and reporting of daily student attendance and academic progress. Candidates must have the ability to establish rapport with students, families, and staff. Organizational and classroom management skills are required with the ability to uphold the philosophies and expectations of MLHS.

Classes meet during the 8:15 A.M. – 3:30 P.M. school day, in two-hour sessions.  Some evenings (PT Conferences) will be required.

Required Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree.

Preferred Qualifications:

Teaching experience along with the development and implementation of course curriculum is preferred. Seeking applicants motivated to work with non-traditional high school students to assist in retention and diploma completion.

Hours:

  • Summer Session: Monday – Thursday, 9:00a – 12:00p (20 days)
  • 2024-2025 School Year: Monday – Friday, 2-4 hours during the school day
